11 years ago, LASKA became a charitable foundation.
And before that, it operated as a non-governmental organization for another 20 years!
It all began with a belief in a simple yet very important idea: lasting change starts with people. With those who live in their communities, work their land, raise their children, support their neighbors, and take small steps every day toward a better future.
Over the years, LASKA has become more than just a charitable organization. We have become a team of people who know how to be there when it matters most. There for people in times of challenges, uncertainty, and change. There for communities rebuilding their lives. There for people seeking opportunities to move forward.
11 years means hundreds of initiatives implemented, dozens of communities, and thousands of people whose stories have become part of our shared story.
Today, we are especially proud to support the development of rural areas, help farmers build and grow their businesses, create opportunities for learning, partnership, and sustainable development, and support communities in southern Ukraine in becoming stronger and more resilient.
And you know what?
We are truly happy.
Because even in the most challenging times, we never stopped.
We kept working even when times were uncertain.
We looked for new solutions when the old ones no longer worked.
We learned, adapted, supported others, and believed in people even when circumstances put that belief to the test.
But we did not walk this path alone.
