Kyiv becomes a platform for important international dialogue on the future of Ukraine’s agricultural sector

The event brought together members of the UK Parliament, international partners, government representatives, local communities and agricultural businesses. The main objective of the meeting was to strengthen cooperation and facilitate direct dialogue with Ukrainian farmers and rural communities, who work every day to preserve and restore the country’s agricultural potential amid the war.

The event was attended by Taras Vysotskyi, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine; Vicky Aken, Director of Prosper Global Ukraine; representatives of regional authorities, international charitable organizations and civil society initiatives, including LASKA FUND, which implements agricultural support projects in war-affected regions.

During the discussion, participants focused on the key challenges and prospects for the recovery of Ukraine’s agricultural sector. The discussion covered support for farms in regions affected by Russia’s armed aggression, the search for effective mechanisms to fully restore exports of Ukrainian agricultural products, as well as the expansion of grant and technical assistance programmes provided by international donors.

The event provided an important platform for open dialogue between Ukrainian agricultural stakeholders and international partners, reaffirming their shared commitment to working towards the recovery of rural areas, strengthening food security, and supporting the development of Ukraine’s agricultural economy.

Together, we are rebuilding communities and creating new opportunities for development.
