LASKA FUND participated in the workshop \u201cGrowing Agricultural Crops in Ukraine amid War and European Integration: From Challenges to Sustainable Development,\u201d which brought together representatives of government institutions, international organizations, experts, and agricultural producers to discuss current challenges and pathways for the development of the agricultural sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participants learned about the findings of the study, took part in thematic discussions, and worked together to identify practical solutions for supporting agriculture during the war and adapting to European standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Particular attention during the workshop was paid to land restoration following hostilities, demining and environmental safety, improving the quality of substantiation and developing laboratory control systems, addressing the consequences of drought and the destruction of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant, strengthening the economic resilience of agricultural producers, ensuring adequate human resources for the sector, and aligning Ukrainian legislation with the requirements of the European Union.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The discussion brought together Vicky Aken, Country Director of Mercy Corps Ukraine; Stephen Wright, Head of Agricultural Recovery at HALO Trust Ukraine; as well as representatives of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine and WWF-Ukraine.
